I went nuts trying to sign in.  It's been so long since I signed in, I could not remember my password.  Tried signing in through facebook.  That was a ridiculous circus.  Keeps telling my to finish my profile.  I've put in all I'm going to put in it.  If I can't just sign in once and stay signed in, I don't need this.  It's not my bank account, it's just somebodies comments about fishing.  How difficult does that have to be?

Only have access via iPhone, but no post counts under avatars for me. Can only see 'reaction count' or whatever it is termed in center right corner. Glad they're still there - sort of. Thx

Same here except I access via Android.

As difficult as you make it.

Overall, I like the new look - good color scheme. Only thing I miss so far are the visible post counts for members. Looks like you have to go to each persons profile individually to see those.

Same here, I only have access through my android phone.

I don't get the trophy icon when you want to react to a post...What does that mean??

You hit the heart icon twice to like a post..once to open it and again to record it..Right???

The 3 "faces" I think I get

I looked in the update area but didn't see where all this was explained.

Thanks

Hover over the heart, the icons will slide out, then hover over each icon for the icon's name.  It's self-explanatory from there.

Came back from a weekend trip and was a bit confused until I (thankfully) found this thread. Looks like a good update overall, but I did notice a couple strange things like Glenn and Bigbill's profile pics being gone with an offset empty picture frame in its place.

Guys, I'm moving some files around today.  It's temporary.

Need to remind everyone again.

I think "liking" someone's post, picture or comment and keeping a tally of how many times a member's posts, pictures or comments have been "liked" is just fine. I think putting in the option of negatively reacting to a person's comment, post or picture and damaging their reputation score doesn't add value to the user experience on this website and gives people an opportunity to target and troll other members that did not exist before.

Other than that, looks good. :)

Just my 2 cents.

There shouldn't be any of that. Where do you see that?  Can you provide examples?

Not on this website, because I have never seen anything more than a simple "like" button available. But I have been on other forums where a reputation score system was put in place that allowed users to like and dislike other members comments and it turned into groups of people targeting those they disliked and someone in one group would always react negatively to anything a "target" member stated, even if it was "Have a nice day." I've seen reputation scores in the negative hundreds because of it.

I like this site because it is so well policed, but introducing a system that allows for members to react negatively and reduce a member's reputation score is something I would personally avoid if it was in my power as an administrator, simply because of the things I have seen on other websites.

That's precisely why I don't have any of that here.

Cool. I just read the "reactions" update section and it appeared negative reactions that reduced reputation were going to be part of this site going forward. Hence my comments.

This is a great site, and the moderation is outstanding at policing behavior to keep it above board and family friendly. Thanks for the hard work and dedication you put in here.

Somewhat off the subject, but is there any change n the pic downloading? I can only do it now if I put it in the gallery, then insert it.

Very nice Glenn!

A "top" buttom would be nice to have at the bottom of a thread to take you back to the top of the page in a click.

On a PC, use the Home button on your keyboard.  On mobile, tap the top title bar on the browser.

It told me to finish my profile to sign in so I did. Now I have duplicate profiles showing on my page .i did not intend on it being displayed twice and don't know how to remove it. I just started using computers recently so I'm lost on this.

I'm not seeing the duplicate profile when I go to your profile page.  Can you close all your browser windows and try accessing again to see if the issue remains.

Thanks j Franco. I guess it's just showing twice on my page. I'll get my wife to work on my computer skills or lack thereof lol.

I don't know if this was always available but I was able to change my display name when updating my profile.

Dropped the finesse from my name as I am not only finesse fishing anymore due to this site. Added NY to my name as it is my home state.

It was always available, but you had to go in and edit your profile.
