thinkingredneck Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 What is your most prized fishing equipment or lure? Mine is a Wilson's Fluted Wobbler in the box. It belonged to my Dad and was given to him by his boss. 3 Quote
Dtrombly Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Yellow Booyah Poppin' Pad Crasher. It's responsible for my 3 biggest bass. 1 Quote
Super User Spankey Posted September 1, 2017 Super User Posted September 1, 2017 My biggest bass have come off a few different Rapalas. They are retired but I have duplicates of them I fish now. 2 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted September 1, 2017 Super User Posted September 1, 2017 This Rogers Big Jim . I had twins that I found at an antique store . The first one I lost in a tree . This lure has "it" . Not to much action , hunts a little and the bass just inhale it . I will go to great lengths to get it back . Its not going to get retired , its dang good . 4 Quote
Super User WRB Posted September 1, 2017 Super User Posted September 1, 2017 Most cherished lures are hair jigs I caught all my giant bass on that the late Doug "skinny" Harris tied for me, they are works of art. Most valuable would be my collection of antique wooden lures from the early 1900's that came from parents and grandparents. Most prized would be the original wooden Castaic trout swimbait by Ken Huddelston Sr. The lures from my teen years learning to bass with may only have value to me, however like me they now vintage lures! Super User whitwolf Posted September 1, 2017 Super User Posted September 1, 2017 I have several I suppose but these are always with me on every trip. My little girl who no longer is little bought these for me a very longtime ago. I cherish these more than any vintage bait I own. Great thread, @thinkingredneck, thanks! 1 Quote

Super User Raul Posted September 2, 2017 Super User Posted September 2, 2017 Bagleys's small fry Baby Bass given to me by one of the best bass fishermen I've known, Manuel Puente, he taught me how to fish with crankbaits. Rapala Shad Rap size 7 SD, caught hundreds of fish with it including my PB. Rapala Original Floating minnow size 9 RT, caught my first 10+ lber with it. Rebel Wee Frog, man that thing is a fish magnet, heck, I've even caught trout with it. 4 Quote
KDW96 Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 1. A red rapala crankbait my daughter picked out for me when she was 4. 2. A early 70s mitchell spinning reel, with a late 70s abu garcia dark blue spinng rod my dad gave me.at that time it was his go to rod. I wouldnt sell either for a million dollars, although i could sure use it Quote
papajoe222 Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 A #9 Rapala original floater. That one lure got me through some very lean college years and is likely responsible for what's left of my sanity. I retired it 45 years ago. 2 Quote
Dustyh Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 A super spook jr. in red head. I've had great luck catching big smallies with this bait, plus it's so much fun to throw! It just feels right having one tied on. Love it! 1 Quote
38 Super Fan Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 A French Pearl Megabass Vision 110 jerkbait. I only have one in that color, I've had it for years now, and I caught my PB Largemouth, and Smallmouth on it. You'd think I'd have bought at least one back up by now, but I'm too cheap. 2 Quote
