GoneFishingLTN Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 I'm starting from scratch and am buying tungsten flipping and punching can you give me what you think is the must haves 1/4 -1/2 flipping what else would you put with that as far as sizes? for tungsten worms weights I'm getting 1/8-1/2 let me know if I'm missing any weights Quote
sully420 Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Mix in a 3/4 and 1 ounce, sometimes you need to penetrate cover and sometimes the faster fall rate will get you reaction strikes that less weight won't generate. Quote
GoneFishingLTN Posted August 30, 2017 Author Posted August 30, 2017 Ok so I'll add them two sizes and I should be set? also how about punching what do you recommend Quote

boostr Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 I have close to what Siebert posted, except of 6 and 6 I have 4 and 4 in the color department. Quote
Turtle135 Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Just a thought that might save you some money, less than 1/4 ounce I go with black brass instead of Tungsten as the weights that light have such a small profile to begin with. Quote
Super User WRB Posted August 30, 2017 Super User Posted August 30, 2017 3/4, 1, 1 1/2 black is all I use in tungsten bullet weights. 1/8 to 3/8 oz black and crawdad painted brass bullet weight. 1/2 oz still have lots of black lead bullet weight. Only reason for me to use tungsten is the smaller size in the heavier weights. Tom 1 Quote

Thank you for this! One question though how come you stop at 3/16 for your worm weights Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 I like the bigger hole in the flipping weights over the smaller hole in the Rocket weight. I typically use 15lb to 65lb braid. Its easier for me to thread the line through. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Rockets 1 Quote
