Can't Catch Bass Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Hello, I'm putting together my first Seibert order. I'm upgrading my jigs to 3/8 dredge brush, chatterbaits to 3/8 fogy and ned shroomz heads to morel xl 1/16oz. I was wondering a few things. Are there other items you typically order from them that I should be considering to take advantage of the free shipping? Do any of you all use rage lobsters as trailers for jigs? In your opinion should I be looking to switch from the craws to them? Also, the morel jig heads... I was going to go with the xl heads in 1/16. I like the fall of the 1/16, but does anyone have experience with using a size 1 vs a 1/0 with a ned rig? Do you see a decrease in action and bites with the bigger hook? Quote

Onvacation Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 I use the 1/16 oz Morel heads a lot. I'll take the smaller size and slower drop rate over a bigger hook any day. I've caught many 4-5s on them and a couple in the six pound range. Hooks are solid. I've had a lot of success with a Rage Menace t-rigged with a 1/8 oz tungsten weight this year. I normally throw black with blue flake in anything but clear water. Clear water is green pumpkin or KVD magic. Haven't tried bluegill. Black and blue dredge is my go-to jig. I use a zoom super chunk trailer most of the time. Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted August 29, 2017 Super User Posted August 29, 2017 Great choices, although I doubt you could have gone wrong no matter what. That Fogy is a winner. So many other bladed jigs are about twice the price, with less than half the durability. Quote
