Wildstreak30 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I'm in the middle of redoing my mid 80's Fish & Ski to make it more fishing friendly and found a great, and cheap way to get a nice control recess. I found a stainless steel 2 bowl sink at my local surplus store for $10. I cut that in half to get a single bowl and then cut a slot for the cables and it seems like it will be perfect. I will post some pics as I get into the overall rebuild. This was a last minute thing as I was just going to add a larger casting deck but found out the previous owner just put new plywood flooring over the old rotted stuff so it's now a complete build. I didn't think to take before pictures but plan to take them of the complete rebuild. Just thought some of you might want to go this route rather then pay the $130+ for the prefabs. Quote
mercury89 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 That sounds great, I might try that on mine. Post some pics up so we can see!! Quote
bassaholic022 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Dont see why that wouldnt work. Except for the glare from the stainless steel. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted March 21, 2007 Super User Posted March 21, 2007 Perhaps paint it black to cut the glare? Quote
DMB Fan Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Great Idea! I might try that also I'd like to see some finished pic's. You could also line it carpet. Quote
