thinkingredneck Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I made an order from Seibert that included Rage Tail products and Megastrike. I guess I drank the Koolaide. They look more substantial than similar products. I am excited to try them! Do you guys mostly rage rig them ot T rig them? 1 Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted August 25, 2017 Super User Posted August 25, 2017 Personally I texas rig with a straight shank hook...4/0 usually. Good Luck Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted August 25, 2017 Super User Posted August 25, 2017 Try them rigged a number of ways and see what you prefer. I am a big fan of the Jika Rig, too! 2 Quote
Megastink Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I see you bought some Menace grubs. That is, in my opinion, the BEST punching bait ever created. It doesn't have appendages to get caught on grass, so it slides in and out easily. But the tail has serious action. I use a 1.5-2oz weight, a 3/0 straight shank hooked (snelled), and a little bit of JJ's chartreuse. I know those weights are heavy, but here in PA some of our lakes have very thick grass mats. You sometimes need that 2oz. 4 Quote

Steveo-1969 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Like others have said, you can't go wrong. Rig 'em up, slather some Megastrike on them, and catch some fish! 1 Quote

Super User Gundog Posted August 26, 2017 Super User Posted August 26, 2017 Don't forget putting the menace or craw on a swim jig. The action on those baits can't be beat. 1 Quote

Super User Jar11591 Posted August 27, 2017 Super User Posted August 27, 2017 The Menace is a great bait. It makes a great T-rigging bait, and they've also been working for me as a jig trailer. And if you bite 3/4 of the body off, it makes a perfect small trailer for a finesse jig. I also love the Craw for T-rigging and jig-trailing. 1 Quote

Gotcha. I wasn't referring to any one lake; more just anytime there's thick enough grass that you can't get a heavy bait through, that 2oz comes in handy. 2 Quote
