Sooo I was out fishing today and I look in the water and boom! A baitcaster rid and reel. So if course I pull it up and ****** it for myself .. it's a 7 ft MH redbone hurricane casting rod. Never beard of them before .. anyone know if it's any good. And the reel in not sure of either .. has some Japanese writing on it.

Whenever I visit DeLand, FL I stop at this mom-and-pop store.  They had 2 Redbone 7' ML casting rods for $75.  These apparently were older models as the new ones have a lower lure rating and I believe mine is IM6 where the new ones are IM7.  I bought one.  Later I kicked myself for not buying both.  I have to say I really like the rod.  Don't remember how sensitive it is.  I normally have a treble lure on it.  Also it stays in FL so I couldn't try it out to give you an answer about its sensitivity even if I wanted.  It will cast a 3/8 oz. Yo-Zuri 3DR popper like a bullet.

I don't know if SirsnookAlot is still around, but he is the one that recommended the Redbone rods to me as a lower cost rod with good value.

Awesome ! Can't wait to try it.  It says it's rated for 1/2 - 1 1/2 oz weight lures. Should be good for flippin and pitching and heavy cover
