lilbuddy Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Hi All... I need to get a ram mount for a hook 7...looking on amazon I see two that seem to be identical. Can someone tell me what the difference is?? I looked on Rams site and I could only find the 111u and not the 111. For $29 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00144COPK/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1NSV32RSKU6A2&colid=3HA1SX1WFQ5TQ For $43 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AXXZH/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I8AWK1H59OQOZ&colid=3HA1SX1WFQ5TQ Quote
corn-on-the-rob Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Seems that the ball on the cheaper one is 1'' not 1.5'' like the other. Not sure what the implications are. Quote

Super User MickD Posted August 24, 2017 Super User Posted August 24, 2017 My Helix 9 has a significantly larger ball than 1.5 inches, I believe. I haven't measured it, but it is very substantial. My Helix 7 is much lighter and I think it has one of the Rams you are showing. A dealer should be able to clarify. But it is clear to me that the bigger units need really substantial Rams. Quote
lilbuddy Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 I went with the bigger one. It was the one that was recommended by bps and ram... Quote
