Spinerbait58 Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 I found a place that sells Tungsten football jig heads,I bought them in 1/2 oz got then skirted up and took them out this past week end, I fish clear highland style lakes, So it's 20 ft or deeper, I was really Impressed the feel of these jigs,But I found myself setting the hook on every thing, i think I can get a way with 3/8 oz, But when you break one of in a brushpile !!!!!!! O well no guts , No glory !! Quote
Super User Munkin Posted August 27, 2017 Super User Posted August 27, 2017 They are more sensitive so until you get used to them there will be a lot of false hook sets. Honestly for most everyday fishing scenarios I cannot justify using tungsten. Cost based on the amount of lures I lose I just can't see the benefit. Allen Quote
Jason Penn Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 i've got a couple of the arky style, and haven't really had much luck with them. i love the smaller profile, but i seem to get hung up a lot more with them. Quote
