Bass_fisherman870 Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 I'm debating on a crestliner 1600 or a tracker pro 160. I'm going to have a 9.9 on it cuz where I live I mainly have hp restricted lakes. What are the pros and cons of them both Quote
Megastink Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 I just posted about this a few days ago. I'm also looking at both boats, but with 20hp's. Im leaning towards the Crestliner. The deciding factor for me was that it has a rod locker that can fit five 8' Rods. The tracker has no locker. Here are some other specs pulled from their respective websites: Livewell is 16gal (C) vs 9gal (T) Fuel Cap: 6gal each Hull Thickness: .10" (C) vs .09" (T) built to MY specs, with extras in each: the Crestliner is actually $700 LESS. Unless the ride and customer service is better with Tracker, I cant see a reason to go that route. Plus, I really dont want to give Johnny Morris any more money. ? Quote
Super User NHBull Posted August 16, 2017 Super User Posted August 16, 2017 I see a lot of crestlinerr on the lake and I see there value tends to hold well. I have never been in one, but know folks that do, and I am sure they didn't buy them because they were less money Quote
bagofdonuts Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 i was looking at a crestliner myself. do they still have wooden decks on them? Quote
Super User Further North Posted August 19, 2017 Super User Posted August 19, 2017 I've had both brands, and while I'm not going to join the "bash tracker" crowd (I liked mine, shoulda kept it for a river runner), there's little question in my mind that Crestliner is better built, uses better components and has much better fit and finish.
