Shakespeare Ugly Stik 6'6" Ultra Light 2 Piece Rod

Okuma Ceymar C30 Spinning Reel

What are your thoughts on the above combo? What type of fish would you be fishing for with a 6'6" ultra light rod sporting a Ceymar C30?

I was thinking about using the setup for micro-fishing, with Frog Hair 7x Tippet and some size 24 hooks. Unless the rod and reel would be best suited for another type of fishing (along with different line/hooks)...

Thoughts?

Welcome!

UL is great for panfish, trout and even bass in not so heavy cover. I just looked up that reel. It looks pretty slick. I would choose 4# or 6# mono. Is that Frog hair some type of fly fishing line?

For lures, smaller scale versions of regular bass lures would be great, along with small spoons and inline spinners and dare I say it, live nighycrawlers.
