Looking to start changing my treble hooks on my baits. I am going to be fishing a lot of Strike King KVD 1.5s, maybe the 6-10XD series, Lucky Craft Pointers, and Megabass Vision 110s. What treble hooks should i use for these lures? Also, what brand and style? What size? Should i replace the split rings also? If so what should i get? Do red hooks make a difference? Anything else? Thanks!

Like others said the stock hooks and rings on all of those should be pretty good. If you want to you can buy a size up/down on the split rings for the jerkbaits and tune it based on the water temp once it falls out of it's stock suspending temperature range.

Personally, ive had more than few of the stock hooks on the 1.5s etc come back to me with bent sections. Although the fish was still brought in,it was enough for me to switch out to kvd hooks. I used both short shank and regular depend on lure. My favorite brand by far is OWNER,but money was tight at the time and went with kvds. No bent hooks and sticky sharp also.

my thoughts exactly owners are best but costly i am on budget but want best bang for buck, which is likely the kvd by mustard

Like the others have said.......but if you choose to, owner 36 and 35's have been my go to.

Side note.....I have been really disappointed with some of the meggabass trebles.  Broke 2 yesterday while slow rolling over some rock.  They just broke off!
