David Neil Jr. Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 I did a search but didn't find anything really that answered my question. Just wanted to see if anyone had any good info or blueprints on how to put a casting deck with some carpet in a Jon boat? Quote
Bun!t Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Follow TBNation on Facebook. There are tons of people sharing knowledge there. From simple plywood decks to jetboat conversions. One of the main guys that started the group is Michael Lopez. He has a YouTube channel that has a ton of good informative videos as well. Good luck! 1 Quote
shimmy Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Also michael López on youtube. I am currently in the process of doing that to mine. No 2 boats are the same so there is some creative thinking going on with jon boat conversions. Tinboats.net is perfect. Has EVERYTHING! Michael Lopez has videos though. 3 Quote

Super User Chris at Tech Posted August 13, 2017 Super User Posted August 13, 2017 More than a jonboat should cost Quote
Scarborough817 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 i have been considering this as well and im going to do a plywood casting deck that is removable. it still allows the most use of the boat i feel a full conversion is too much and far too pricey. from what i have figured doing a deck for the front 2 seats would be roughly $200 but that includes a seat and seat post Quote
Super User JustJames Posted August 18, 2017 Super User Posted August 18, 2017 This is not so fancy 14' Jon boat with plywood deck. No I did not build the whole thing myself. I bought this Jon boat from a guy with pretty good wood working skill. The only thing I would change on this set up is the front seat which is too big and leave very little room to walk. 1 Quote
Jim Mac Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 That boat is very narrow too, which adds to the problem. Quote
euroshowoff Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 My first boat was a topper 1432. Over the winter, i put a casting deck on etc. Here are some of the links i followed: https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=18860 https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=13357&sid=ff73d09aea6935ae00c6a6b1db5f9ae1&start=45 Quote
