I did a search but didn't find anything really that answered my question. Just wanted to see if anyone had any good info or blueprints on how to put a casting deck with some carpet in a Jon boat?

Follow TBNation on Facebook. There are tons of people sharing knowledge there. From simple plywood decks to jetboat conversions. One of the main guys that started the group is Michael Lopez. He has a YouTube channel that has a ton of good informative videos as well. Good luck!

Also michael López on youtube. I am currently in the process of doing that to mine. No 2 boats are the same so there is some creative thinking going on with jon boat conversions. Tinboats.net is perfect. Has EVERYTHING! Michael Lopez has videos though.

i have been considering this as well and im going to do a plywood casting deck that is removable. it still allows the most use of the boat i feel a full conversion is too much and far too pricey. from what i have figured doing a deck for the front 2 seats would be roughly $200 but that includes a seat and seat post

This is not so fancy 14' Jon boat with plywood deck.

No I did not build the whole thing myself. I bought this Jon boat from a guy with pretty good wood working skill. The only thing I would change on this set up is the front seat which is too big and leave very little room to walk.
