Super User buzzed bait Posted August 10, 2017 Super User Posted August 10, 2017 Hey guys, i'm heading to OKC and Tulsa next month 9/12-9/15. I'll have some downtime in the evenings and possibly a whole morning to fish while i'm there. Probably bring my travel casting and travel spinning rod and keep it pretty minimal. I'll have a rental car as well so i can get around wherever i need to. I haven't booked my rooms yet, wanted to get some opinions on decent spots i might be able to catch some fish from the bank and then plan the hotels around the area. Not looking for any honey holes or private jewels, just asking if there's any good parks or ponds or somewhere around that i should target while i'm there? If i can swing the time and expense i'm even considering a guided trip on tenkiller or grand lake, but that may be a little bit of a stretch! If you happen to know a good guide with reasonable rates, feel free to throw them out here and i'll at least take a look! Appreciate any help you guys can offer. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 11, 2017 Global Moderator Posted August 11, 2017 Bixhoma Lake in Bixby just southeast of Tulsa has some giants in it and good shoreline access. You have to get a day pass for $5 in City Hall, but it was pretty painless to do when we were there. I hooked a monster on a jerkbait that pulled off before we saw it, but it has DD fish in it. 3 Quote

Thanks Clayton, that's a nice one! Quote
