Hi all,

I am trying to find out if there are spots in the Cali Delta that are eligible to be fished in a small inflatable kayak (Sevylor Rio 1-Person Fishing Canoe). I have never been on the Delta, so I have no idea where to start. I would prefer some calmer, narrower channels that would allow for some decent fishing.

I would really appreciate some recommendations.

I live next to San Francisco (Sausalito).

Thanks all.

You want to fish the sloughs, not the main tidal channels or rivers due to the current. I am not that familiar with the delta but Patato slough, as I recall, would be a good place to start.

Thanks Tom, as always! :)

The Delta is huge, tried to use Google Maps but it is just too overwhelming with options...

I've seen guys fishing the Delta near Clifton Court Forebay.  They basically just carry it down the rip-rap and launch.  It's a protected Slough from the wind and tides

I put in at B &W marina often.  There is a decent amount of area to fish out of kayak within a short paddle of the launch.  Maybe even better though is putting in at Tower Park.  There is a ton of marina slips/docks to fish and just south of the marina there is quite a bit of vegetation to fish.

Freelance.....this was just posted on westernbass.  This gentleman creates these super informative videos, and this one linked below takes place all within a half mile of B&W marina.
