So I've read where there's a ton of bass in Bomoseen and just wondered if there's any good fishing from shore? I'm mostly interested in Large Mouth Bass. It's a ways for me to trailer my boat...especially when only the trolling motor is working right now (outboard is leaking oil from somewhere). If there are some places to shore/bank fish where I could catch some decent sized fish (not just a dink factory) I'd like to make the trip down (maybe spend the day at the State Park).

Was just there for a week... The shoreline is mainly private and housed-up, so there's not a lot of options for getting shore access.

VT F&W has two fishing access areas.  I boated by one and paddled by the other this past week... You can view them on this page:

https://anrweb.vt.gov/FWD/FW/FishingAccessAreas.aspx

The northernmost one (THOMAS EVANOIKA) has some decent stuff around it.

There's also a bridge that runs over the lake near the northmost lobe.  There's some access around the bridge in what seems like GREAT largemouth water. I've fished it, but never caught there, sadly.

Bomoseen is, I think, a very healthy and productive fishery... Even if all you do is fish the banks at a couple of these locations, I think you'll have a decent trip.  Better would be to look to find someone willing to lend you a kayak or something like that.  There is a boat rental service through the local marina (south tail of the lake) which has kayaks and the like, as well as motor boats.

By the marina and ice cream shop is a shore accessory area. the other end is all weeds. never fished it, but if you go into the ice cream shop youll see pictures. 18 lb pike caught twice in one week. Also huge trout, right by the shop. I would recommend getting that outboard fixed, or don't go too far, it can get rough
