looking for a good mono

hey guys so im currently looking for a good mono line, i tried firline on my reel i dont like the feel of it. it feels choppy its so thin often when i set drag higher or pull line out it digs into itself and causing problems.

 

so i want a mono line that has some of the characteristics of a braided line, such as: a good diameter/strength ratio,very low memory,i want a line that is not very visible,and spools and ties easy. as far as monos what is the best of the best for that. i know people might say different ones so i will take what you guys say and do some searching on them. let me know please.

Nothing has less memory than braid or is smaller diameter per lb test. 

So, what type of reel and rod are you using; spinning or casting? Medium light, medium, medium heavy or heavy fast or moderate action??

line over 10 lb test Sunline Deifer Armilo Nylon is excellent, under 10 pounds Berkley XL or   Sunline Super Natural mono.

I have used Berkeley trilene and suffix siege with great results. I would check out copolymer lines too tackle warehouse has McCoy brand on sale for 20% off right now and they make some great line. Regardless of what brand you buy I would highly recommend some good line conditioner such has kvd line and lure. That stuff is no gimmick!

I've been using Sunline Super Natural for six years now.  It has the attributes I want and is very affordable.

There's not one type of line, that I know of, that will give you all you want in a line. A copolymonoflourobraid would have to be invented to have all of those qualities. I mainly only use 50lb Power Pro Spectra braid it had a line diameter of 12lb mono. It's very easy to tie, it's very strong and works great for me. I haven't had any issues with visibility. If the fish see it, they don't seem to care, therefore I don't care either. The only mono I use is Berkley Trilene XT low vis green as a leader when needed.

Sufix Siege for me. its amazing on both baitcasting and spinning. Although I have only used 8 and 10 pound tests. its my go to mono. love the smoke green colour.
