smallyslayer Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 I inject soft plastics and have been asked to make a tube that's body is one color and tentacles are another. A laminate plate won't work because it will be a two color bait but the wrong direction. Any ideas on how I can get this done. Quote

The tube is all in one mold then u cut the tails with the tail cutter (a block full of razor blades). But I might have to inject then cut the tube in half leaving the bottom on the rod and taking top half off then shoot again the top with a different color. Idk Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted August 6, 2017 Super User Posted August 6, 2017 You either have to hand dip the tail color, pull off the rod and cut the tail portion ( slightly longer than the actual tail length) then put it back on the rod and dip the body making sure to overlap the tail section a bit to make sure both are bonded. To do it with the mold you would have to do it just like you described, you may get color bleed so try keeping the body color a little cooler if possible. Quote
