Let's just say I won the powerball. I didn't, but let's dream for a moment.

I want to live on a lake/river. I want to have three seasons. I want to catch big bass. I want to be in relatively close proximity to a mid-sized city for shopping and stuff. Maybe no more than 30 minutes or so. I want a nightlife that is amenable to meeting women who have all of their teeth. Not nightclubs, but not all dive bars.

Any thoughts?

Texas - right near Sam Rayburn & Toledo Bend.  Fork would be a easy long weekend drive.  Respectfully don't care about the other stuff.

Table Rock.

A location would be nice. Never heard of it.

Google Table Rock Lake.

Since I already have a wife and am eyeballing retirement, I'd probably go to some place in central FL. Double digit bass are what I'd like to see on a regular basis.

Never heard of Table Rock Lake???

Branson Missouri in the Ozark Mountains. Beautiful lake with all the things you asked for. Plus you can catch big largemouth, big smallmouth, big spotted bass, and even big meanmouth.

I love Table Rock, but I think I'd probably have to pick Bull Shoals or Beaver Lake. Beaver has more of the bigger cities available, and I love fishing for stripers, but Bull Shoals has much more consistent bass fishing, as well as being near the White River where I could chase monster brown trout.

Nope - too cold in the winter for Table Rock.

That's when it fishes the best and you get the lake almost to yourself

 It's fun to dream . . . . . . .

After hiring a driver, a cook, a couple of housemaids & at least one translator, I'd be the newest year round resident of Sinaloa, Mexico.

Specifically in very close proximity to Lake Baccarac . . .

Hampton Lake is a private, gated community in Bluffton, SC. At 165 acres it's not a big lake and you can't put a bass boat on it but they have boats and kayaks that you can use. They stock the lake with Tiger Bass, Striped Bass, Copper-Nose Blue Gill, and Shellcracker.  Hilton Head Island is just over the bridge, Savannah is 30 minutes south and Charleston is an hour or so north. They are also putting in a second lake in that community.

I'm in the market for a new home next year and Hampton Lake is near the top of my list.

Workshop, chicken house, and manure shed also on property. Great for hunting lodge, recreation, or rental/lease income. Deer, waterfowl, small game. Farmland presently leased. If I won the powerball I would have a couple of places ... Table Rock for bass from April-ish to June, SW Montana for trout from Jul - Sep, and then maybe down to the Keys for the winter.   That would be a life!

If you like to fish 365 days a year, always a shot at big bass, peacock bass, and other exotics, south Florida is the place to be.  Okeechobee, and Poga, 45 minutes away.  Thousands of miles of man made canals full of bass, during low water, 100 bass mornings common.  Great restaurants, shopping, and some of the best FREE beaches in the world.  Throw in, great off shore fishing, and big inshore reds, snook and 150lb., tarpon.  70 degree temps in Jan, Feb,March, the only down side is the occasional Hurricane.  It doesn't get any better then this!  Been here 50 years and never regretted leaving up north for a second.

And as a follow up - and something I'll admit to being sort of ashamed of myself for not starting with this . . . .

Slaying 4, 5 & most recently 6lb Smallies is pretty Righteous ~

So Right here isn't too bad either.

Just say 'in.

This is my current living condition except for northern winters. I live 35 minutes from the 4th largest city in Ohio. I am 15 minutes from Lake Erie and Maumee River flows through my back yard (literally). But I would love to live on the St. Johns in Florida. You would be able to drive to Lake Seminole, Kissimee, and Okeechobee

I was scratching my head for a second. You have some of the best small jaw fishing in the world all within an hour or two of you.

I'd move to northern Michigan April-Oct. Florida for the rest of the year.

Fair enough my friend and you know I totally agree.

Canyon Lake in SoCal.

one hour to ocean, one hour to snow 20mins to Casino.  right between Los Angeles and San Diego. Disneyland, Seaworld and Universal Studio.

But before you move here, could you buy me a house in FL? ?

I hadn't thought of this. I won the powerball, for goodness sake! (I didn't, but we're in pretend-land here). I can have more than one place.
