For example if I got a White Bird 7'0”, medium heavy, fast action made of graphite. Will it be basically the same as the Abu Garcia with the same exact specs?

In terms of performance. Because I see some of the more expensive bait casting rods out there that have the almost the same exact specs of the cheaper ones.

There's a difference brand to brand and even model to model. There are no standards in the fishing industry.

If you're asking if an E6X Loomis and an NRX Loomis with the same specs are identical, the answer is no.

The length, power, action, tip softness might be the same or very close, but the sensitivity, balance, weights etc are different.

If you're looking to buy a new rod, tell us what baits you intend to use it for and the $$ you're willing to spend; and you should get some good choices to pick from.

There is a reason why some rods are more expensive than others. Some of it may be branding, but more expensive rods tend to perform better than cheaper ones.

I have a White Bird spinning rod, WBR-721MH Drop Shot Rod.  It is perfectly serviceable as a budget priced rod.  It's a little long for me as a DS rod, but a great length as an all purpose rod.  It would a great pond hopper rod.  I initially felt it wasn't as sensitive as my $200 Avids, which I use as a benchmark.  When fishing, it's plenty sensitive enough.  I have a 2500 size reel, spooled with 20# braid and a 8# leader.  I could feel the 1" pencil weight touch down on the bottom, and the second bump of it fall over.  That's all I need.  I've caught over 50 fish with it, and it's held up well.  I would definitely recommend for someone on a budget, and looking for a durable rod.  That said, it's not as sensitive as a rod in the "magic" $100-150 price range.

I'm looking to buy a bait caster, the things I use are crank baits 1/8oz I prefer to use smaller baits hence I heard that I will get more bites. Also that a big bass that isn't that hungry might go after a smaller bait vs a bigger one.

I'll also be using small frogs if I can find any, senkos, poppers, and sometimes deep diving lures or regular swim baits. Basically almost everything but smaller. Some baits I will go a bit lighter than a 1/8oz.

Use a spinning rod for light baits, under 1/4 oz.

What casting reel are you gonna be using for those 1/8 oz crankbait? Do you already have one?

For now I have a ultra light spinning rod, and a medium or heavy spinning rod. The plussino isn't giving any specifications about the rod what so ever. https://www.amazon.com/PLUSINNO-Spinning-Telescopic-Saltwater-Freshwater/dp/B018GFYHDG

I got mines back in 2015 in the fall, I think they changed them because mine is fiberglass I think. The thing is like a metal pole, no flex to it at all. I might sell it or something.
