Minnerhead Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 My bass club is wanting to have our annual classic tournament on pickwick August 12 out of Waterloo boat ramp. I've never fished pickwick or any Tennessee River lake for that matter. I've never really fished a ledge I usually pound tree tops or boat docks on my local lake to get decent keepers. I see the length limit is 15 inches on large and smallmouth and I think if I can get 5 measuring fish and maybe a decent kicker we can win. Is there anywhere in that area someone can point me to that'll help. Our boundary is kroeger island to state line island if that helps any. Any help will be greatly appreciated Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted July 30, 2017 Super User Posted July 30, 2017 The biggest bass that I know of being caught in a tournament was caught just outside of Second Creek, where you are putting in! Down river fish the ledges at the mouth of Bear Creek, then the secondary points. Next, Indian Creek, but just the mouth this time of year and then the left bank moving down stream. The best bet is 15'-25' of water right now. Big worms have been the ticket for me (Rage Tail Thumper, blue fleck). Good luck! Quote
