gunsmoke Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Wondering if some of you from back home in Maine could tell me if cobb has returned and rebounded from what happened to it a couple of winters ago? Was there last year this time of year caught a slew of smallmouth but the lm were definitely a little off. Thanks Quote
je1946 Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Tournament heaven=Lake Cobbasee. Fish are pressured beyond belief. With that being said, still plenty of gd Lm in there this time of year I would try night fishing. Was up there about a month ago and even then LM were difficult but a couple of guys fishing at night were on to gd fish Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted July 28, 2017 Super User Posted July 28, 2017 I was supposed to be up there this week but my partner had to back out. Still have a couple friends who made the trip and they have been doing great all week. I was there two years ago and had great days every day, did have to contend with a bunch of pike though. Interesting to see the comment about pressure, was there for 7 days and hardly saw anyone. Friends who have been up there the last two remark about the lack of boats. Quote
gunsmoke Posted July 29, 2017 Author Posted July 29, 2017 Thanks for the replies guys. Couple years back bunch lm came in to spawn a little early got caught under the ice, well you can figure out the rest of the story. Weren't pretty, there were some real pigs belly up. Like I said last year caught more sm hoping the lm fishery is coming back. If not I'll have to pull the boat and go raid my other honey holes. Quote
