conorsixtakc Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Anybody here been using these on their cranks with success? Thinking about swapping out some stock #4 squarebill hooks with these in #2, from what I've seen on the shelf they look a little smaller. I like the look of the short shank and oshaughnessy bend without pointing back in to the shank like triple grips, but a little leary of them being as strong as advertised with the smaller diameter. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_Aaron_Martens_TGW_Nano_Finesse_Treble_Hook/descpage-NFH.html Quote
dszal Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I was thinking of getting some of the #5 size. I've never seen them in person. I keep hearing that they seem smaller- would the size #5 look more like a #6 with these hooks? Quote
ec1 Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 My Favorite treble. Feels really sharp, seems to stick fish well, mind you I have lost fish on them before. (Tell me someone who hasn't) Sizes are smaller. Vision 110's take 5's. For cranks I'd upsize 6 to 4, 4 to 2. The MH gauge is slightly different but I haven't caught enough fish on them to know. 1/0 for 6XD's. Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Look interesting, maybe a good replacement jerkbait hook with that thin bend for easier penetration. Quote
CTGalloway21 Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 they make a Medium Heavy version as well if you are concerned about hook strength. Quote
