Hello , Due to neck and back problems I need to install a wave shock supressing mechanism on my pedestal boat seat. I am looking for feed back or your experience with what ever you have tried . I am trying to decide whether to go with an Air Ride or Coiled Spring with Hydraulic dampened system. Pedestal style with internal mechanism like Seaspension or Springfield etc. models  or external scissors style mechanisms like Smooth Moves or Air Wave etc. . I hear air suspension bladders can fail over time but so can a hydraulic cylinder. Some types supposedly can rebound aggressively almost throwing you out of the boat. I have sourced some of the components seperately much cheaper than buying the name brand units but I need to determine which would be best in my 16 ft aluminum side console for my 145 lb weight. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
