sully420 Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 You can catch good bass every where. Start fishing outside weed edges with a t rigged worm or any plastic greem pumpkin or black blue color. Then get some jigs a 1/2 oz swim jig and a 3/4 oz grass jig. That should get you started. Check out youtube to learn about basic rigging, lines, knots, and rids and reels for diffrent techniques. Quote

I fished all over in the northeastern suburbs of the cities so lakes like fish lake, eagle lake, and medicine. My main lake with my boat is eagle lake in maple grove. Quote

Try independence ,waconia, bald eagle I will try them out. I catch a lot of 2 pounders out of eagle on a frog in the middle of the day suprisingly. I tryed out medicine about a week ago but it was really windy and busy. What would you throw for fishing docks on these lakes? Quote
sully420 Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Start with a senko wacky rigged on a weedless wackey hook on spinning gear. Look for docks with at least 3' of water underneath cast to the shadiest spots. Have you ever skipped docks before? Quote

Super User gim Posted August 4, 2017 Super User Posted August 4, 2017 Minnetonka has a lot of bass but there is a ton of recreational traffic and competitive bass tournaments out there at the moment. Quote
Super User FryDog62 Posted August 9, 2017 Super User Posted August 9, 2017 I was out on Waconia at sunrise yesterday and caught 2 within 10 minutes, then threw up a donut the next 4 hours. Night before my son had nothing until right at sunset. I think that's the pattern right now with 80 degree water temps - very early/late is good and in between ... meh Quote
