Update - New Helix 7 si chirp g2n, do I need anything extra?

Update, Sent standard transducer back 2 humminbird $8.65 from Oklahoma on 7/27, they called me 8/1 for payment $81, shipped to NC.

Got upgraded xhs 9 hdsi 180t today 8/3.

 Their shipping method was less than I expected, thin plastic bubble wrap bag only. 

 

Thanks n advance! Just bought to use on kayak. Is there anything I might need/want additional? 

Was going to mount transducer w/ the Scotty arm.

If you haven't opened the package the transducer came in and want better images, you could exchange it for an HDSI transducer.

Thank you,,,Havnt opened the box yet, was waiting till I get back 2 nc,, but noticed the humminbird display in gander mtn.and all the accessories.....

Still researching the upgrade benefits of the transducer......

You should check to see what software is on it, and if not 1.46, update it and download the new maps.  Be sure to reset all settings to factory defaults before doing this.  Instructions are on Humminbird customer service site.

 

Since the new software and maps are dated about 7/5/17 it is most likely not up to date.  The map is much improved over the old one, so worth the trouble.
