2tall79 Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Given the ridiculous price of glide baits, I'm looking for some DIY advice. Does anyone have a good source for 2 piece, jointed plastic bodies 7 to 8 inches? Ive seen some at LPO but don't really see any that catch my eye. Also, any tips for painting jointed bodies? Separate or paint as one bait? Thank You! Quote
Super User Further North Posted July 27, 2017 Super User Posted July 27, 2017 You could try tying flies... 2 Quote
2tall79 Posted July 27, 2017 Author Posted July 27, 2017 I actually found what I needed here, Thanks https://avidbasstackle.com/search?q=glide+bait Quote
Super User Further North Posted July 27, 2017 Super User Posted July 27, 2017 That'll work. I can tie flies, but I lack the talent and the patience to paint lures. Those flies take about 10 minutes each... Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted July 27, 2017 Super User Posted July 27, 2017 Have you tried fishing with lipless crankbaits? In Mo. the muskie seem to like them. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted July 28, 2017 Super User Posted July 28, 2017 Consider the Believer. They make an 8" jointed model that I know works wonders on pike. Quote
