With a very serious NCAA investigation down in Oxford and with the Ole Miss administration backing Hugh Freeze, what a shock today when Freeze resigned for contacting call girl services on a university phone.

Freeze is married to Jill and they have three beautiful daughters.

How do you go home and tell your wife that you resigned because you got caught calling escort services?

Do college coaches do things that are totally wrong and do not think they will get caught?

Sad day in college football.

Most every college is a dumpster fire just waiting to ignite. As far as telling his wife? Who knows, maybe she new about it all along. It wouldn't surprise me.

There have been rumors about Freeze's personal life at Ole Miss. for years. Beat Bama a couple of times and he gets winks. Really a mediocre coach in my opinion who cheated to get wins. Ole Miss did an investigation on him, probably a private detective, and came up with many indiscretions that are unsavory for a college coach. He violated the morals clause in his contract. He didn't contest the Ole Miss. findings and resigned with no buyout (16 million) of a 5 million a yr. job. He gets nothing.

Many folks here in Mississippi have always thought he was a fraud.  Not good for a man with a wife & three daughters.

Kiffin is a better recruiter. They need to look at Les Miles.

I can't imagine any big name coaches taking that job. There are just to many problems to overcome. At least until the NCAA is done with them.

I worked for University for 17 years, you have no idea how corrupt the Athletics departments are.

In most cases it is the tail waging the dog

Isn't that the case with most major collegiate programs. When money comes into it, morals go out the door. Then again, what do I know. I just live in Pennsylvania. We haven't had any major scandals in our college athletics prog......ummmm.
