Hi all,

I have a Daiwa Coastal and a Lew's BB2 Inshore that I love for all but the knob handles. I would like to replace them but I am not sure what handles will fit them, since I am assuming the handles are model specific?
I am wondering how I would approach this and where I could also find handles that do not brake the bank and give a good quality. I feel like if I am spending 80 USD on a handle I rather buy a new reel...

THanks.
Cheers,
Seb.

Lew's offers three 95mm handles ranging in price from $30.00 to $50.00. I don't know if you've checked them out. The handles are shown on their website.  Good luck!

Check with The Tackle Trap. They carry a lot of parts to upgrade reels with.  They also have lots of goodies to add bling also.

Actually if I could find a solution that just replaces the handle knobs that would be the best solution. Not sure if that is possible though..

If the knobs have the screw instead of rivets then you def can. May even be able to with rivets but I'm not too sure about that.

The Zillion coastal has screws so replacing the knobs is simple. Buy a pair of knobs made for Daiwa and swap them out. Zpi - RCS - slp all make knobs to fit.

Where is the best place to buy those things? Ebay?

Wherever you find the best deal. I've used eBay and Amazon, but I usually wait until I need to order stuff from Japan and pick them up then.

Have you tried reel grips? They slide right on the knobs and are very comfortable.  They cost around $6.00.

I dont think that this is an option here. Since I would like to reduce the size of the knob to get it down from the power handle knob

I hated doing it, but I bought a Hawg Tech 102mm carbon fiber handle. It's going on an Antares though, so the $81 handle is at least somewhat justified...I guess... You can put your own knobs on most handles. Most Shimano stuff is interchangeable, but I can't speak for the other brands.
