LCG Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I am toying with the idea of replacing the cork and reel seat on my mojo bass spinning rod and replacing it with a custom set up. Is it possible to get a reel seat similar to the fenwick elite tech bass spinning rods but with Winn grips instead of cork? I would like to not feel the plastic or metal seat, threads, or anything else. Just the grip material. Quote
Super User MickD Posted July 11, 2017 Super User Posted July 11, 2017 Replace the whole grip/seat/butt knob with a cork Tennessee grip. Use electrical tape applied with considerable tension to mount the reel, then go over the complete grip, including the area with the elect tape, with Winn Wrap. 2 Quote
