Hello everyone I would like to just say thank you to this fourm first. I've posted a lot lately and everyone has been very helpful.

I've decided with your help to buy helix 10s G2 two units one for the front and one console.

My question is if you had to guess when would be the best time (sale/deal) to buy these?

the best time is when they come out with a new model. when the Lowrance gen 3's came out I bought two gen 2's for a great price. other than that I would be on the lookout for sales from BPS or sponsors here.

Black Friday/Christmas time is a good time as well. Also look at the on-line marine electronics stores for good deals all year long. Most will be $100 or so cheaper than the big box stores. If you look at them and the big box stores when they have their sales you'll get the best deal one way or another.

in my state there is a 9% sales tax. buying online can saves me big money. yeah, I guess it's tax evasion. let them come and get me.

My only thing there is wont they be outdated. For example I was looking into getting the onix but heard they are being discontinued.

Or do the older products like helix 10 just get updates here and there?
