What is the most versatile line for my lures?

I'm looking for a line that can throw frogs, chatter baits and spinner baits.

Since frogs are in the mix, 50-65lb braid. That being said, I would be using 14-17 lb mono/fluorocarbon for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. Frogs just don't work with anything but braid based on where and how they are fished. Braid isn't ideal for the other two, but it can be made to work. Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.

Agree.  Braid for the frogs, mono/co-polymer for the others.  But I am partial to mono/co-polymers and only use braid when casting into lily pads/weeds.

Braid would be the way to go because of the frog. Just know that you may break some spinnerbaits wires. Chatterbait will be more resilient, and I have no issue throwing a chatterbait on braid.

50-65 lb. braid is overkill for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits, but 15lb mono is under powered for braid. Since I don't have a proper frogging rod, I put 30# braid on my MH Tatula and it gives me a happy medium, as long as I don't throw into anything too heavily weeded (which rarely is a problem in areas I fish)

30lb is plenty heavy enough for any cover you will encounter.  I like throwing frogs on my MH rod with 40lb braid myself.

I've personally broken 40lb braid when frogging, so I steped up to 50lb as my minimum. It is far to heavy for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits, but since the OP will be using frogs, in my opinion, it's a workable option.

It depends what you're throwing it into. For the spare lily pads in the spot I often fish, 15 mono actually worked fine, so 30# braid is fine for that.

The answer I would give is to spool your reel with braid and tie leaders for your other baits besides a frog.What pound line to use would depend on the conditions you fish most.

I use braid an all my BCs but one and mono on it and my spinning reels I don't use leaders

But I  am a newbie to bait casters so take it for what it is worth

Braid for the frog. Look into Sunline Defier Armilo for the rest. Or you can always go with Yo-Zuri Hybrid to save some cash.

Here at my local lakes i cannot get away with 30lb braid for frogs. Youll lose that fish quick. Most of my frog catches come with a coulple pounds of weeds and tree limbs. I use 50 but im thinking of going 65

When looking at any line's applicability, the first question I ask is whether the line will, in anyway, impair the action of the lure OR deter the fish from biting.  The second question I ask is this: Once it has done it's first job, will it get the fish back to me?

For the average fisherman there's no reason not to use at least 50 lb braid what are you going to really get from 30 lb braid a micron less in diameter. Just tie on some 50lb braid and get yourself some 15 lb mono and just tie on a short shocker leader.

I'm a big fan of the combo I'm currently running - Suffix 832 in 10lb with an 8lb P-line CXX leader.  I've ripped lures out of trees with this setup.
