Jaderose Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Anyone tried it? I don't usually get too excited with the latest and greatest but I gotta admit that I like the looks of this thing. Kind of a cross between Spinner bait a jig and a Lipless crank. Whadda ya think? http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Yo-Zuri_3DB_Series_Knuckle_Bait/descpage-YZK.html Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted July 12, 2017 Super User Posted July 12, 2017 I just saw this too, pretty cool. Definitely something I haven't seen before. Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted July 12, 2017 Super User Posted July 12, 2017 I think it has the same potential as the Dancin Eel. 6 Quote

Scarborough817 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 honestly i dont see a place for it, yes it displaces water but the point is for the blade to vibrate and i dont see that happening with the ball Quote
Dorado Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I'm confident enough to say the red crawfish looks great and has potential in my neck of the woods. Quote
Super User WRB Posted July 12, 2017 Super User Posted July 12, 2017 Rocket Shad reincarnated with a ball in lieu of a Colorado blade. Tom Quote
d-camarena Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I might buy one just to try out. It has to have a good thump to it to be different than spinnerbaits Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted July 12, 2017 Super User Posted July 12, 2017 Gotta admit, It's got my attention. Anything that includes a statement like: "This configuration produces an erratic wobbling action, much like a knuckleball thrown from the pitchers’ mound" in the description needs to be fished. Quote

Super User Fishes in trees Posted July 12, 2017 Super User Posted July 12, 2017 I'm recalling the old BPS hybrid spinnerbait (Tornado/toronado/something like that) with the bent semi-willow blade. I don't know anyone who didn't buy one and I don't know anyone who caught a fish on one. . . . Maybe I just bought the wrong color, who knows. When this bait hits the bargain bin, I will buy one or two because it looks like a good frame & hook - blades can be replaced, as can the p.o.s. vinyl skirt. I'm going to wait for this bait to flame out and hit the bargain bin prior to buying one. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted July 12, 2017 Super User Posted July 12, 2017 I had to see what this looked like under water. Thought you'd be interested. 1 Quote

thebillsman Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I am sorry.. but this bait concept is just flat out dumb. 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted July 12, 2017 Super User Posted July 12, 2017 Bill Dance Dancin Eel was a good lure, the Helicopter was pure BS. The Tornado spinninerbait was also good with a planning head design and patented blade design and on the market a decade before BPS offered it. Put into the same class as the Tornado spinnerbait and Dancin Eel, the Knuckle spinnerbait should sell. Tom Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted July 12, 2017 Super User Posted July 12, 2017 Everyone tends to think being a professional angler is a great gig, but they forget that you have to promote certain baits of your sponsors, often on camera and at shows, and you end up like poor Lane, Surman and Christie. Same with the Livingston guys. I don't think I could do it - lol 2 Quote

j bab Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 It'll sell, but I won't buy any. Seems dumb and pointless to me. 1 Quote
Scarborough817 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Say 1/4 of members buy one that's roughly 15000 people at $8 each that's $120000 now obviously there is overhead but still they will probably sell more than 15000 Quote
Jaderose Posted July 12, 2017 Author Posted July 12, 2017 Everyone is comparing it to the dancing eel. The question is.......How many of us bought one? I know I got at least one around somewhere Quote
Johnbt Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 "the painted Sound Balls provide a loud rattle that is ideal for stained and dirty water " Sounds like my kind of fishing. "will also stand upright when sitting motionless on the bottom, making it very easy to fish ultra slow" Slow is good. I'm slow. I love spinnerbaits and floaty rattlers, so what more could I ask for in a new bait. Oh yeah, it comes in chartreuse. I ordered seven to get free shipping. They're due Monday evening. I'll give one each in three colors to my buddy and I'll keep the other four. The only decision left is 4" or 6" grub tail. I've never heard of a dancin eel, maybe I don't spend as much time on line as I think I do. I've used live eels for rockfish/stripers in the bay and red surgical tube on wire for bluefish, but somehow missed the dancin' eel. Did it come in chartreuse? John Quote

I ended up in second place. I haven't caught a bass on one since. Quote

I bet you catch a few on it - Not because I think it's a great bait but because a bass will eat a spark plug if given the chance. A-Jay 2 Quote
Johnbt Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 I don't own one, but AC spark plugs once made a promotional fishing lure. 1 Quote
