I am trying to locate a copy of "knowing bass: the scientific approach to catching more fish" by Keith A. Jones. It is out of print.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hello Jeremy and Congrats on your first post.

Looks like you were really pacing yourself ~

Here's a couple of copies of that book but the $$ seems a little steep, must be a pretty good read.

Great tip on the library above! Actually your own local public library may be able to help you locate a copy to check out on inter-library loan.

If you're patient and check Amazon, Ebay, Alibris, and other marketplaces regularly, you may find a used copy or two put up for sale for much less than that. I have seen a few copies listed off and on for about $50. I actually bought my own copy for 25 a couple years ago.

The market values of rare and out-of-print books seem to obey strange laws I do not understand. I have a very hard time getting my head around the idea that there are actually people buying copies of "Knowing Bass" for $100-$200.

It's a very good book. I'm not sure it's that good.

I bought it years back for twenty bucks. I've attempted to read it probably 4 times. I'm really bad about taking time to sit down and read. Currently sits on the coffee table next to my chair and is bookmarked halfway through. It is a good read, some very in depth knowledge. Someday I hope to have a majority of it memorized.

Thanks guys, yes I like to pace myself and build expectations. lol. Plus life (multiple kids), work, etc... got in the way and now trying to get back to fishing some. Yes, I have found it and it was $16 books a few years ago but for some reason now it is selling for $128 - $400 ... used. Heck, I just want to read it but not for that price. I checked my library on-line and they don't have it. Maybe they can help me locate if I stop by. Other wise I will keep watching. Thanks again for all of the replies.

@Darren, thanks. Yeah it has and is changing too much. Every tree seems to be getting cut down to build houses or more stores. :(

I know you are in Denton, TX but if you are willing to go to Denison TX there is a library that has it on a shelf.
