Nolanbassmaster Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 I want to use braid for chatter baits in clear water so I can use the same setup for my frogs, I'm not sure if I should use chatter baits on braid because the fish can see my line? Idk what to do? Quote
Super User WRB Posted July 8, 2017 Super User Posted July 8, 2017 Faster moving lures the line doesn't bother bass unless it changes the lures action. What do you think a A-rig with wires look like to bass? .... small school of bait! Tom Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 No problem. If you find the braid fouling the bait add a short stiff leader. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted July 8, 2017 Super User Posted July 8, 2017 Hello Nolan and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Here's a few thoughts for you; Braid is OK but you could add a length of mono or fluorocarbon leader and that might be better. And using your frog rod for a chatterbait might work OK but if you have a spinnerbait stick that might also be better. Frog rods are usually pretty beefy. A-Jay Quote
frosty Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 I go straight braid without issues, and I'm fishing water you can see 10'+ in Quote
