Not sure if he'll be able to do anything about it real soon again. Glenn will be at in Florida for ICAST and obviously really busy there. I'm not having any problems with speed or pictures, but everything is always slow for me out in the middle of nowhere.

Seems okay for me.  There had been a few days that were really sluggish.  Got the "cannot be found" message, but if I let the computer sit for a few seconds, the page I wanted would be up.

It had been painfully slow, but seems about normal to me now.

You've reached your max storage limit. You'll need to delete some photos before you can upload more.

How do we do that? Do I have to go back thru each post and delete them? Is there another way?

Go into your profile - go into your 'attachments folder' and delete them - one at a time . . . . .

Yea my upload link to add pictures to my post is gone as well. I could only post less than one MB anyway. Lol

My attachments are not full. Barely 3/4

My apologies it's the 'My Attachments' link in your profile Catt.

Mine has been totally full for a while now.

I've been loading pics to my gallery / albums and posting them in the threads from there.

Also, it sounds like it may not matter if your attachments are full or not - seems like during the last 'server work" the 'add attachment'

link took a direct hit.

Kinda.

Truth be told, we're running out of disk space, which besides the obvious, also causes slowness.  So I reigned in the settings a bit, which affects the more proficient photo posters the most.  I had to cut down on the allocated space for uploads, as well as upload size.

But again, this should only hit a handful of the most active photo uploaders here.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks Glenn,

As one who my fall into the above category, I'll be 'cleaning up' my own personal profile here in the next week or so.

This will include transferring all my attachments back onto my own (separate) drive.

Probably won't help that much but it certainly can't hurt.

click on your user name and then click my attachments.  on that screen that pulls up, click on the little trash can icon on the right hand side to delete.  This is on the desktop, not sure if it'll be the same on mobile.

Wish we could delete more than one at a time. The process is go to page #, find photo, hit delete, confirm delete, repeat process.

I feel sorry for those that have lots of pictures to delete.

if you're on a desktop, the only shortcut i can figure out is to right click on the trash can and hit open in new tab, then continue on repeating that.  Then open up each of those new tabs and confirm there.  Not light years faster, but faster no doubt.

@12poundbass ~ Member gouger is a pejorative term referring to a BR Member who spikes the prices of Storage Space to a level much higher than is considered reasonable or fair, and is considered exploitative, potentially to an unethical extent.

Usually this event occurs after a demand or supply shock: common examples include but may not be limited to sudden membership increase & or over - active poster syndrome (which will need to be covered in a separate correspondence).
