Going to be out at the farm pond tomorrow morning right as the sun's rising! What would your first lure choose be? The shallow parts of the pond are covered in mats and they thin out the deeper it gets!

I'm thinking of using my spro king daddy 1oz frog first cast! If that's too big I picked up a couple savage gear hollow body frogs/mice! Then on the other rod I'll have a watermelon/red blk flake dipped in some sweet sweet chartreuse jj's magic!

Like a buzz baits early in the am.  Work it as slooow as you can manage and still have it working.

I would throw the frog until I either caught every fish in the pond or couldn't buy a bite. I'd probably throw a whopper plopper second, then go to a worm or punch with a creature bait.

Can't go wrong with the weedless frog back on those mats! If the frog is slow trust the worm

Yes yes, exactly what I was thinking. Someone else mentioned a buzzbait so I might try a whopper plopper in the open water then move to the mats with the frog.

Hmm I have a couple buzzbait and some whopper ploppers that I might try in the more open parts! Wish i had one of the teckle sprinker frogs right about now!

The Willie P can catch em! Whopper plopper is a cool new bait to me

I started bass fishing when it came out and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Largemouth absolutely love it! What sizes do you throw? I can't wait to see how it performs against smallies and pike on my trip to Minnesota in september!

I throw the 130 and 90... Love the nude color! I've caught a few smallies on it, predominately fish largemouth waters, but they blow em up!
