I am trying to find baitcasters that have the widest spools on the market, this is not a "your favorite" question.  I want to know actual facts on who makes the widest spools.  I cannot find much info just googling.

Check out the Daiwa Tatula Type HD and some of the Lexa 300 series.  You could also look at some of the round baitcasting reels like a Daiwa TD Luna, Shimano Cardiff, Calcutta, Abu Garcia Ambassador reels.

The Curado 300 series are a pretty wide spool. Step up to a Calcutta 400 series if you're willing to use a round reel.

Fry, what in the world are you fishing for that you need so much line on a spool? For instance, I use my Curado 50s and 70s for worms, jigs, spinner baits and crank baits and they have narrow spools.  My older Curado 100Bs are used for frogging.

@Brett Vasel Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~

Most if not all the casting reels the serious swimbait anglers throw are of the wide spool variety.

The Calcutta 400B for instance fill the bill there but the 5.0:1 gear ratio equates to an IPT in the low range.

The new Shimano Tranx Casting Reel line certainly looks pretty beffy as well.
