Need a new spinning reel. Tackle Warehouse has their 15% sale and I have 10% off gift cards. So I can get a spinning reel that costs more than $150 as long as it's under $150 after my 25% discount. I am going to add it to my Dobyns Fury medium 705 which is for Senko style lure weights. Probably a 2500 size reel?

What would be the best Spinning Reel for this price?

A lot of great options at $200 which puts you at $150 with your 25% discount. The Pflueger Patriarch is a very nice reel. Daiwa Ballistic Ex is also very nice. Shimano Stradic always gets high praises but the 15% discount doesn't apply to it.

I'd be getting that Daiwa Procyon with the current sale pricing.

Which size? They only have 2000, 3000, and 4000 it seems.

My wife has a Dobyns Sierra SA 705SF she uses for her frogs/ big jigs and carolina rigs.  We matched it up with a Pflueger Supreme 35. It costs $100. It is super smooth and balances really well on her rod. The bonus here is the retrieve rate is almost exactly the same inches per turn of handle that my Daiwa Tatula Type R 8-1 reel has.  So that works out great for her. That reel is way smoother than her Shimano Symetre and I heard almost no issues with the Pfluegers. There were lots of complaints with the Symetre reels, that is why they were discontinued.

If I was matching a reel to your Fury FR 703SF ( you had a mistype) I would consider the Supreme 30 size or a Pflueger Supreme XT in a 30 size reel. I personally like a 35 size reel, but most people like the 30 size. The Pflueger Supreme XT runs $150 so you would be in your budget either way.

When it comes to baitcasters I am a Daiwa guy , but for spinning I have fished Pflueger reels for decades and they have always held up well.

I'd find 50 bucks in the couch, trucks, and anywhere else you stash change and get a stradic. You won't regret it

You can find stradics for really cheap on ebay or use another site to get one for 130ish.

I have the procyon in the 2500 size paired with the new medium light tatula elite series finesse rod.  Killer setup!

The best spinning reel under $150 was all the 2015 Stradics that got marked down when the 2016s came out! Or the new models if you have Gander closing near you that has any left.

Yeah, I'm pretty well set on spinning reels as far as this lifetime goes. Couldn't resist.

I bought 3 of the 2015's at that price when the 2016's came out and somehow lost one!

Didn't know they made a 2500. That's what I'd want.

Personally, I'd use the gift cards, etc. for tackle and get a KastKing Kodiak spinning reel for $80.  But that's just me.  ;)

I find that "really cheap" Stradics are really beat up used reels or from questionable sellers.  A past model Pflueger Patriarch, new, is probably as good as it gets for $150.  Shimanos and Daiwas are very good, but part of their price comes from the reputation.  Pflueger has not yet built that reputation, but is coming on, and their reels are very good values.

They don't get much love here, but I've been using nothing but Quantum spinning reels for 30 years. Under $150, ($139.95) The Energy would get my vote. For a few dollars more, ($159.95) I like the Smoke models even better. The Smokes are the best spinning reels I've ever owned

Got my friend a Pflueger Purist for $47 (usually $79) at Cabelas to go with his St. Croix Mojo Bass.
