ssm Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Would you guys mind posting pics of your homemade jigs skirts and what colors of skirting was used in them? Colors, number of tabs, hand tied, etc etc.. I see jigs all the time that I like, but I am always wondering what color or how many tabs did they use? If there is already a post like this I apologize, I called myself looking. Quote
Super User WRB Posted July 5, 2017 Super User Posted July 5, 2017 2 silicone tabs would be max for me. If you want multiple colors use 4 tabs split in 1/4 th and bundle 4 together. I often use 1 tab and split 2 tabs into 1/2 and bundle together. Barlows has a good selection of skirt tabs, tools etc. I prefer 1 barbed wire with 2 split natures edge silicone tabs. Caution, the combinations are nearly unlimited. Tom 2 Quote

I almost always will use a barb wire (or fish scale, dalmatian, living image, etc) as well with a solid color. I like variations of browns, greens and black with flake. I like to add purple as accent colors. Sorry, no pics right now though. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted July 10, 2017 Super User Posted July 10, 2017 i'll go as much as 2.5 tabs which is something like 55 strands my favorite one is my version of black and blue 2 tabs midnight magic and anywhere from like 4-11 strands of carolina blue it works well consistently and is what i landed my PB on!
