Rapala loop knot should do. Might be a little bit harder to tie with braid than mono and just make sure your loop is not too big otherwise front hook might get tangle in there.

I hardly use loop knot anymore since most of the lures that required loop knot already come with split ring otherwise I'd use clip instead.

A question, and I don't honestly know the answer: As limp as braid is, does it really impede the action of a bait?

I don't enjoy fishing crank baits, so I rarely do it...so tend to get lost quickly here.

Im no expert on cranks either..I rarely fish them. My un-educated guess is that it probably doesn't make a difference if you are just casting and retrieving in straight. I mostly fish soft plastics so I use a loop knot 99% of the time. I just wanted to experiment on tying direct with braid instead of using  a leader.

Not to take the topic off...topic...but why fish soft plastics with a loop knot?  I also fish soft plastics most often and almost never use a loop knot...sounds like I have something to learn!

I never use a loop knot, but were I to use one with braid, I'd tie a uni with like 9 wraps or so, and tighten it down to the loop size I wanted. But Why?
