Super User Angry John Posted June 30, 2017 Super User Posted June 30, 2017 cavitron let there be only one... 2 Quote
Gage W. Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 i go for a single prop- clacker, although a lot of people go for a double prop. evolution baits is a good brand for buzzers. you made a good choice too, largies love to smack em straight outta the water. Quote
Super User tcbass Posted June 30, 2017 Super User Posted June 30, 2017 This thread was just started recently and asks the same questions. Lots of answers on here. I think a lot of people will say Cavitron because it just works. How is it better than other buzzbaits? I don't know, but it's the only buzzbait I really use anymore. 1 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 30, 2017 Super User Posted June 30, 2017 The Whopper Plopper is an other alternative that seems to be red hot. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted June 30, 2017 Super User Posted June 30, 2017 The ones I make work as well as anything I've used . To get them to squeal loudly , take your needle nose pliers and crimp the rivet so it doesnt spin . Then squeeze the lip or the rivet with the pliers hard . Go all the way around then do the same thing to the blade the part that rubs against the rivet . This creates tiny ridges that will increase the sound . 1 Quote
CTGalloway21 Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 I use a bunch of different ones. Diry Jigs Pro Buzz when I want to use a Keitech or Horny Toad. Cavitron. and then a Hammerhead version like the new Nichols Reflex. Quote

Couple years ago, she grabbed one and tied it on and started fishing it through submerged cover like a spinnerbait.....now...I've learned long ago that it is downright foolish to tell a woman she's wrong...especially when fishing where the bass don't bother to read the rules. She caught three pounder a few feet down on one of her first casts. She has a habit of catching fish using the wrong techniques 2 Quote

They are the best. CS is great too! Quote

Today I tried buzzbait instead of WP. I got no bite on top water and remembered reading your post so I let my buzzbait sink and start reeling in with a little bit of jerk. I caught 2 fish this way even tho the first one came undone. Finally beat the skunk today. 2 Quote
