LAURASDAD Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Hello fellow anglers, Any suggestions on how to best clean the livewells? I realize chemicals should be avoided. Is dish soap OK? thanks for your suggestions. Larry Quote
DMB Fan Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I've been using oxyboost in my lw's for awhile now have never had any dead fish from it. I use 2-4oz. with warm water, Rinse until clean If you circulate the water inside that helps and it's biodegratable. Try Oxyboost.com there's an area for cleaning boats and lw's. Quote
Al Wolbach Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I have always used baking soda and water. There is probably something better, but this has worked for me............Al Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 10, 2007 Super User Posted February 10, 2007 I just hose it out and then take paper towels and wipe the sides and bottom and pick up the gravel. I never use any chemicals in the livewell for cleaning. I just don't want to take a chance on killing the fish. Quote
