It also tells you the hook type and size to use with it so you don't have to figure that out. I usually use a 3/16 oz bullet weight with a black bead between the weight and hook. I bought some in watermelon/candy flake color once and never got a bite so I packed them away in my "reserve box". I also bought a pack of Crazy Legs variety and didn't get any bites. Those have another appendage on them that seems to mess up the action and looks like a lobster to me. Even if you pinch them off it's not the same bait. It could be coincidental tjhat these others didn't produce for me, but the combo of black/blue original seems to really be the ticket for me. It's a confidence thing. And fish really will hold them a long time, giving you time to even make a mistake and still catch them. Big fish like them too. Quote

Super User Deleted account Posted June 26, 2017 Super User Posted June 26, 2017 I'm pretty sure I can fill my bathtub and throw a watermelon candy UV speed craw on a 1/8-5/16 t-rig, and catch at least a couple. I hardly ever not have one tied on. Quote

I dont like the fatter craws as much as the skinny worm like section on the Salt Craw. Black with chartreuse pincers is my favorite . I have the Z man version (pitching crawz) of this, thank you for the suggestion On 6/26/2017 at 8:15 AM, the reel ess said: 4" black with blue flake. Or do they just twitch? Quote

VirginiaKayakBasser Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 4 inch Rage Craw for me. Tried a few, but the Rage Craw is the perfect size, has the best action, and is easy to set a hook through. Bass hold onto them forever! The Rage Craw is my most productive bait after a spinnerbait. Quote
Cbump Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Lots of craws in this thread that I didn’t know existed. Quote

Don't do it. I tried to compare the action of two different paddle tail swimbaits in my bath tub, and my wife almost had me committed to a mental hospital. She still has the pictures she threatens to post on the internet whenever the Bait Monkey tries to sneak in the house. Quote
