I am now broke in 2 ways

1.) My new Shimano Stradic Ci4+ 3000FA got stepped on in the boat today.

2.) Repair is going to be costly

As far as I can tell, it is just the handle that broke. Maybe a few other parts. The spooling of line was not even. Can I send the reel back to be repaired? Will it be too much? Its 30$ just in labor, and will be like 50$ in parts. still may be worth it though. What do you think?

Not sure I comprehend here? You ask if you can send the reel in to be repaired than proceed to quote pieces for parts an labor. Where did you get those prices?

i guess spend the $80 bucks to get it fixed or spend $0 and throw out the reel.

Thats a personal financial decision. I guess you and your bank account have to make that judgment call.

Definitely a personal decision based on finances, how much you need/want the reel. $80 to fix a ~$200 reel certainly seems like a better choice than replacing it.

If it truly is just the handle I would just buy a new handle and swap it yourself. Unless you broke something internally it should just unscrew. Now if you can't afford a new handle that's a different story. I would just leave it aside until you can fix it. If you REALLY new money, I;m sure there are plenty of people who would buy a stradic with as broken handle for a decent chunk of change and do the repair themselves.

May be you should send to DVL and have him estimate, if it worth to fix then fix it otherwise have him keep it for spares.

if the spool of line if not even may be something more than handle.

If you can open a bottle of soda, you can change out the handle.  Call Shimano, and order a new handle.

If the line's winding on unevenly it might very well be that the bail wire is bent. Bend it back into shape and see how that goes. If you can pick your nose, you can bend your bail wire.... (keep the theme going)
