Am in the market for two reels (70 size) for my 6'6 Mojo Bass Jerkbait and 7' CarbonLite Heavy Rod for Flipping in nasty vegetation.

I was planning to get two Curado 70HG (7.1.1) with 5 bearings ordered on the side. I know that there is a little difference difference between those two. That Scorpion 70 which I have been eyeing on is displaying that sexy color  Should I just get my mind out of the gutter and just stick with the Curado 70 and add the 5 bearings (4 for handles and one in worm gear) and be a man since its cheaper :)

If you want to be a bass fishing ninja get the scorpion. If you want to be a good ol American joe get the curado.

The Scorpion70 is running $180 no warranty the cuardo70 I see for $150 plus you get the warranty. You could get  curado70 and upgrade the spool bearings(zpi, hedgehog) as well as the other bearings you planned on.

Do you know the difference between ABEC bearing ratings? 3 is higher tolerance than any reel could ever benefit from, design for rpm's over 50,000. ABEC 5 is 3X more expensive then a 3.
