Skspacemonkey Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 hi, I'm wondering if anyone uses pink senkos for bass in the summer? My friend caught a ton of bass opening day on this color. So does anybody use them and should I get a couple bags for the summer? I'm planning on wacky rigging them. Thanks Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 19, 2017 Global Moderator Posted June 19, 2017 Yes, solid white too. 1 Quote
YUT18 Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 I use bubble gum senkos all year long and depending on water clarity I will also use watermelon or white. 1 Quote
Super User NHBull Posted June 19, 2017 Super User Posted June 19, 2017 For most of the season green pumpkin and black/blue are the go-to's. The bubble gum and orange are a prespawn, spawn items. Getting to white today, as the caffeine shad has beaten everything so far 1 Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted June 19, 2017 Super User Posted June 19, 2017 Watch Leo Sheng on Youtube. His channel is called Extreme Philly Fishing. He loves the pink Senkos and catches lots of Largemouth, Smallmouth and Pickerel on them. I am not brave enough yet to try them. I might go solid white as I notice I have been doing well with baby bass laminate. I think the white bottom has been attracting fish to strike. 2 Quote
Falkus Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 I love them for muddy waters ...It makes it stand out for the bass to say: "Hey babe, haven't seen you in this area before" Quote
SFL BassHunter Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 Bubblegum senkos and trick worms, both catch bass. 2 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted June 19, 2017 Super User Posted June 19, 2017 Fishing is a masculine activity therefore we do not use the color "Pink" it is called "Bubble Gum" and yes it works as does every other color senko made. Allen 6 1 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted June 19, 2017 Super User Posted June 19, 2017 Few lures that I have less confidence in than plastics in bubble gum and merthiolate (blaze orange.) Tried and dismissed both colors a long time ago. 3 Quote
npl_texas Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 I've caught plenty on the pink stik-o. I usually will fish them when the water is muddy. Time of year doesn't matter too much for me. Quote
NJ Fishing Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 color doesn't really play a gigantic role in fishing during the summer unless the water is ultra clear or ultra dirty. try em out no harm in trying. - Liam Quote

Super User tcbass Posted June 19, 2017 Super User Posted June 19, 2017 My friend likes the all white Senkos. Says they catch big bass on certain lakes. As he told he that he caught about a 4lber on one. I still really like cinnamon brown the most. Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted June 19, 2017 Super User Posted June 19, 2017 Bubble gum is the BEST Trick Worm color I have found. I use a whole bag of them for every one worm of a natural color. I usually use the naturals for regular T rigs. If you ever wonder what the best color is, go to WalMart and see which one they're out of. Then order it off Amazon. 2 Quote

I still have both Senko and trick worm in those color pretty much new. And please do not mix that blaze orange with other light color lure, it breeds like crazy. Quote

Go to my local shops and see what they're out of/have less off. In plastics, its always watermelon, black/blue flake and every style of green pumpkin. I've had some luck on some colors that really dont make sense for the water I've fish them with - baby blue in a weedy pond. Im not sure what the bass thought it was, but its nothing that is or should be in that pond to my knowledge. I think in some cases the colors dont matter at all. If its a reaction bite they're not looking to see what it looks like... at least thats my thinking. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted June 19, 2017 Super User Posted June 19, 2017 I have only had one hit using a bubble gum fluke. I've never tried a bubble gum senko before. 1 Quote
KayakFish107 Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 The Yum dinger in a bubblegum lemon swirl can have its days! I used to use the Tiki stick in bubblegum, but I can't find them anymore! If anyone has a way to get them, let me know! Have a couple left, and here's the last empty bag! Quote
Super User Munkin Posted June 20, 2017 Super User Posted June 20, 2017 Like any other color they will work at certain times and certain locations. When I was in MO fishing FT Leonard Wood there were a few lakes that I just killed them on a Bubble Gum Trick worm. Those lakes had a lot of LM and spots but not many SM to be found. Back in Merryland I have caught a couple but not like in MO. The crazy thing is the best lake for Bubble gum worms green pumkin would not work? Allen 2 Quote
Jaderose Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 I use Bubblegum and white more than other colors. I also use JJ's which means I customize them but heck yes........you could call them Man Candy Pink for all I care. They catch fish Quote
XpressJeff Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 Sluggos and Sluggo SS have always been a favorite of mine! Great color at the right time. Whatever time that may be! Quote
Chaddy Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 Does the bubble gum(pink) color work good in dirty water? I'm in central North Carolina just wandering if they work here. Quote
dmainor Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 I would never use bubble gum plastics..... However I have slayed them on Cotton Candy..... my favorite color in water that's not gin clear. Dug 1 1 Quote
MNGeorge Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 Been a number of times when without the Bubble Gum Senko, it would have been a tough day...wouldn't be on the water without them. Quote
