Fishin' Fool Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Yamamoto double tail hula grub on a shakey head rig?? The idea just hit me, it seems intriguing. 1 Quote
Nor-Cal Basser Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Haven't tried that exact combination, but I do put Rage Craws and Paca Craws on shaky heads. Pretty killer for smallies. I bet a double tail hula grub would work pretty darn well too. 1 Quote

Super User MIbassyaker Posted June 15, 2017 Super User Posted June 15, 2017 That's a river and stream smallie-killer. No reason it shouldn't work just as well anywhere else for both green and brown fish. 1 Quote
Super User JustJames Posted June 16, 2017 Super User Posted June 16, 2017 I did once caught one bass not too long ago. I use owner ultra head not reg shakey head. The only thing is body of hula grub pretty shot so you might have to get finesses shakey head type. 1 Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted June 16, 2017 Super User Posted June 16, 2017 1/4 oz. flat bottom shakey head. Spot Remover or Maverick. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 17, 2017 Global Moderator Posted June 17, 2017 Shakyhead, T rig, C rig, swinging football head, yeah they work on all of them. I prefer the shakyhead over the standup heads you're "supposed" to fish them on. Put them on the football screwlock shakyhead and drag them around gravel, smallie magnet. 1 Quote
mooneyes Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 very good rig for white bass and smallies as mentioned 1 Quote
