Last summer I purchased a new Lund and had 2 Lowrances (LMS-334C & X102C) installed and love them. The only problem I had was the screens. The face of the screens would constantly show dried water spots which made it difficult at times to see. I tried windex but still kept getting the spots. Just wondering if anyone has used a product that worked and did you have to continue to clean the screen throughout the day?

Go somewhere that sells laptops (Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Depot, etc). They have LCD cloths for cleaning laptop screens. Its what I use on my LMS 339c and X96 and it works perfectly. You dont want the disposable wipes...you want the $10 cloth (paying 10 bucks for a rag seems just a crazy as paying 6 bucks for a can of air).

I believe you shouldn't use Windex on LCD screens. I think they will ruin them real quick. Like the guy above me said, go to best buy or some computer store and get a LCD cleaner.

I wrote Lowrance recently about this.  Their response to me was that they found Original Windex--NO AMMONIA-- "to work nicely".  The ammonia can harm the screen.  I've used it a couple of times now and am OK.  The LCD cloth sounds like it does the job also.

I use a distilled water and white vinager soulution to clean the screens on my lowrance units. Mix 1 part vinager to 3 parts distilled water.I keep the mixture in a little sqeeze bottle. To use pick up a microfiber towel and slightly wet the towel with the soulution and wipe the screen, I have found this to remove the water spots the best.
